Chapter IX             “GET DOWN!” Luke called to his soldiers, ducking as the wyvern let out another breath of fire. The beast was relentless, he’d give it that much. Rising to his feet, he swung the axe, the tip of the blade managing to slice through the wyvern’s snout. The monster screeched with pain, flapping its wings several times before flames erupted.             “Lukas!” Kaiser shouts, running to aid his fellow King. He holds up his shield, the flames bouncing off the iron and heating it to the point where holding it was unbearable. With a yelp, he tucks down and moves out of the way, dropping the shield baring his sigil of a bear. Chapter VIII             David sat in his study, planning his next strategic move against the Iron Kingdom . His dark eyes skimmed a map of the realms, fixing on the Vindico/Diruo border. Surely he could take the Iron Kingdom at any moment, but he decided he should wait. Wait until King Kaiser had hope back in his clutches before yanking it away from him once again. With a sigh, he ran his hands down the map though the faint sound of footsteps causing him to glance over his shoulder. He spun around, his brow knitting in confusion.             “Who goes there?” He called out, placing his hand over the hilt of his sword.             “Come on, are you really going to use that?” Her voice lingers beside his ear and he swears he feels her hot breath on his neck from behind. Chapter VII             Sir Leonidas The Reckless did not cry. He hadn’t when his pet died when he was just a boy. He hadn’t when he’d broken his arm falling out of a tree. He had shown a moment of weakness in the dungeons of Diruo, though the tears hadn’t left his eyes then. However, this time… he could not seem to stop the tears from streaming down his cheeks. He half expected her to sit upright, pulling the ultimate prank on him. The blood would rush to her cheeks when she realized he was staring at her and she would laugh… that musical laugh… that would never grace his ears again. “Idiot.” She’d say, wearing that grin. His boots scraped against the broken path, clutching the limp body close against him.
